Entry Requirements
Students should be able to
describe terms and concepts from the agro-food industry from the perspective of the different actors involved, as well as explain and appropriately convey the status of the political, scientific and economic debate in relation to global challenges in the field of sustainability.
describe company forms and structures, explain core processes and derive the connection to a business plan.
reflect on their strengths and weaknesses in the context of preneurship (intra-, entre-, commonpreneur) and be aware of necessary complementary skills.
Learning Outcome and Competences
Students will be able to:
build, organise and lead teams, taking the complementary skills of the team members into account.
make decisions under time pressure and with incomplete knowledge by means of risk assessments.
understand and evaluate externally made decisions (e.g., from politics) and classify them for their own decisions
.
assume different roles and areas of responsibility in teams with changing management functions / agile constellations and communicate decisions accordingly.
reflect on how they deal with responsibility and stress and set development goals for handling conflict and crisis situations better.
deal with unpredictable situations, change, uncertainty, and complexity in a team, react accordingly and make decisions with the team.
deal with mistakes and failures in a team in such a way that new opportunities and insights arise.
Module Content
The students learn methods for building, organising and leading teams, so that every team member’s diverse skillset can be optimally utilized. They learn to assess situations with limited knowledge and to make decisions under time pressure. In their teams, the students assume changing roles and thus learn to remain agile in changing situations. They also reflect on how they deal with responsibility and stress.

Predicate (pass / fail) 100%:
Oral presentation 50% (group work)
Written report 50% (individual / group work)
In case of failed assessment, the following options are possible:
The failed assessments may be resubmitted (in case of written work) or a supplementary examination can be carried out (in case of oral assessment). Counts as first attempt.
The failed assessments can be repeated the next time they are scheduled in the regular timetable. Counts as second attempt.
