| Grobziele / General aims |
The students can:
• Explain and apply knowledge of health systems and global epidemiological distribution patterns and integrate disease-specific aspects into their professional perspective
• Identify different health systems and evaluate their advantages and disadvantages using health outcomes.
• Assess a health system in terms of its ability to respond to sudden changes (resilience)
• Recognise the influence and interactions of social, political, economic, ecological, legal and cultural determinants of health, and independently discuss and develop approaches and concepts to reduce negative impacts
• Apply defined cultural key competencies to different areas of professional practice in Switzerland and abroad and further develop them critically and reflectively
• Demonstrate interprofessional values and communication skills that show respect for the unique cultures, values, roles/responsibilities and competencies of other professionals and groups active in global health and show awareness of these aspects
• Critically examine, explain, apply and reflect on different theories, terminologies, contexts, characteristics and needs of vulnerable and diverse people |
