Learning objectives Attitude:
  • The students are familiar with selected issues in strategic communication management, such as sustainability communication and financial communication.
  • The students understand how these issues are embedded in the overall communication strategy of an organization.
Knowledge:
  • The students know the important communicative content relevant to each industry and issue of communication.
  • The students gain contact with practitioners who are experts in strategic communication management and develop ideas regarding possible job profiles and career paths.
 Skills:
  • The students can describe and explain industry-specific differences in strategic communication management.

  • Characteristics of strategic communication management in specific industries/sectors

  • Important topics of organisational communication in specific industries (e.g. financial services, healthcare, industrial sector)
  •  Typical challenges of strategic communication management  in specific industries

  • Stakeholder-specific and target-group-oriented communication
  • Public interest/disinterest in specific industries
