Module Content
The course discusses the natural resource management of alpine areas in the context of sociocultural and economic issues and developments (past, present and future situation).

Correlations and interdependencies of culture, society and alpine topology are covered on the basis of an annual changing topic. The subject for spring term 2018 is the handling of alpine peripheral regions with shrinking processes. From a methodical point of view, the method of scenario development (current state of research, theoretical concepts and practical implementation) is in the focus of the course 2018.

In June a three-day field trip into an alpine region will take place and allow insights into practice (in 2018 Val Medel in the Surselva, Canton Graubünden is in planning).
