Lernziele
The students:
  • can work together with the students from other Universities/UAS of different faculties and countries on a common issue of global challenges.
  • are able to come to conclusions by looking at the common topic from the respective professional, cultural, political and institutional perspectives.
  • know about issues of global challenges in social work from an international and interprofessional perspective.
  • are able to discuss with students and lecturers of different professions and countries.
Lerninhalte (Abstract) The course is included in a programme called “Global Sessions” and takes place alternately at different European locations: Discussions on global challenges affecting social work issues from the respective professional, cultural, political and institutional perspectives.
The working title for the main topic is “Working with Youth in a Global Context: Prospects and Challenges”. There are different tracks within the programme and it includes keynotes and presentations, international / interprofessional group work and field visits. The participating universities/UAS come from Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Scotland, the Basque Country, Lebanon, India and Switzerland and from the fields of social work, political science, public administration and health professions.
