Description

Version: 2.0 start 01 February 2020

Short description

The design and analysis of different supply profiles for renewable power sources and charging strategies for electromobility are the central elements of Smart Grid Electromobility (SMEM) solutions. A new innovative SMEM solution will be developed and presented by the different student teams.

Module coordinator

Baumgartner Franz (bauf)

Learning objectives (competencies)

Objectives Competences Taxonomy levels
Knowledge of the technical parameter of different types of electrical vehicles like battery capacity, consumption, bill of materials and environmental relevance and their charging profile. F K2, K3
Knowledge of the technical parameters of the hardware of different renewable power generation technologies like, CO2 emission, costs, availability and supply profile as well as typical types of charging stations. Knowledge of typical algorithm to control the charging process of electrical vehicles and maximise the renewable charging share, minimise CO2 and costs. F K2, K3
The main work package is the development of a new innovative SMEM solution of the different student teams. Literature search and patent survey is needed to proof the novelty of the proposed concept, like the research which is needed before starting the realisation in a start-up. F,T K2-K5
The preparation of a report of the state of the art SMEM solutions or components and the final report and presentation of the develop SMEM innovation in English must be performed within the student team.
The topic of the innovative SMEM solution could also be a more technical task if the student team is heading to collaborate within another joint project of the university or beyond and the teachers agree on it.
F,T K2-K5
