Learning Outcome and Competences		 Students will be able to:
  • critically evaluate research results and project proposals.
  • assess findings in the literature and incorporate them into their own projects and research.
  • present their research questions and hypotheses and engage in critical discourse.
  • self-critique and solicit / incorporate feedback from the research team on specific issues, research methods, analysis procedures, etc.
  • take responsibility for their professional and personal development (learning process), in consultation with their tutor but with a high degree of self-management, and take corrective action if necessary.
Inhalte
Module Content		 Within the scope of the module, students can work on a variety of different topics. These topics will contribute to the focus and structure of the work in the research group and will align with a chosen set of research methods  (scientific / socio-economic). Students may also be involved in tasks pertaining to the implementation of project proposals. This could involve executing project work independently, such as the planning, data collection,  material analysis, or similar activities. In addition, producing specialist publications, evaluating or reviewing research results, developing project proposals and taking part in sub-projects is also possible.

Assessment of Learning
Outcome		 Written work as agreed upon. Previously submitted work may be improved upon and resubmitted, provided that the original submission was awarded a grade of between 3.50 and 3.99. A passing resubmission will be awarded a grade of 4.00.

Bibliography		 At the beginning of the module, the students and the tutors select literature which is appropriate to the context.

Comments		 Organisation of Work:
Generally speaking, Project Work in Research Units 1 and 2 require the students to be actively involved in a research group. This includes project work, the preparation of proposals, taking part in meetings and other research group activities (project meetings, field research excursions, etc.). Furthermore, students will also be responsible for managing communications with their tutor.
 
How the work is organised will be discussed at the beginning of the semester and recorded in writing as part of the Tutorial Agreement.
