Learning Outcomes and Competencies
This module is designed as an introduction for students to their field of study. To this end, they will become familiar with important technical terms and the current state of development in red, green, blue and white biotechnology on the basis of selected topics relating to product examples. The aim is to show the students the interdisciplinary nature of biotechnology, its potential but also its risks, and to discuss ethical considerations. After completing the module, students will have an overview of common trends in biotechnological development and will be able to explain them to non-experts.
