Learning Outcomes and Competencies Technical skills:

The students are able to
  • Process and prepare data from various sensors and devices in (bio-) medicine, e.g. EKG, wearables, X-rays, MRI, etc.
  • Extract digital biomarkers
  • To evaluate the quality of the digital biomarkers and to question them critically
 
Transferable skills:

The students are able to
  • Detect problems with real measurements
  • Process, visualize and interpret time series and image data using computers
Module Content
  • Analysis of patient and laboratory data: e.g. prediction of cardiovascular events
  • Biomarkers from wearables: e.g. blood pressure from EKG
  • Biomarkers from imaging: e.g. age-related changes in brain MRI images
