Learning outcomes and competencies In the Bachelor's thesis, students should demonstrate that they are able to work independently, in a given time and methodologically correctly on a problem from their specialist field, illustrating its relation to practice and on the basis of scientific findings, and present their work in an appropriate form.

In particular, students can:
  • Identify and present a problem in terms of its significance and its professional contexts (Identify a problem / issue / area of investigation).
  • Independently formulate the objectives of their work and the questions that arise from it.
  • Develop project plans with possible alternative strategies .
  • Identify and secure the necessary resources.
  • Negotiate for services, resources, information and commitments.
  • Conduct effective group meetings.
  • Use effective communication strategies and apply communication technologies effectively.
  • Clarify interpretations and confirm understanding.
  • Understand financial, graphical and technical information and documentation.
  • Apply scientific methods sensibly and correctly to a problem.
    - Literature search
    - Select methods to collect, verify and analyze data (basic descriptive and inferential statistical methods).
    - Present statistical information.
    - Understand research design and methodologies.
    - Interpret research.
  • Develop technically sound solutions and prepare appropriately for their implementation in practice.
  • Assure customer surveys are conducted and processes are documented.
  • Draw up a written final report that is stylistically, orthographically and formally correct.
  • Present the approach, content and results of their work attractively and defend them (project presentation and defence).
