Speaking and writing for health professionals B1/B2 (Winterthur)
Kurzbeschreibung
This course focuses on oral and written communication in the health professions. In small group settings participants will discuss health-related topics and write short subject-specific texts in different formats (e.g. summaries, e-mails).
Ziele
Providing the opportunity to improve and consolidate one’s productive skills in English:
  • participate in pair and group role plays
  • practise pronunciation and expand medical vocabulary
  • draft, develop and improve texts with a focus on structuring, linking, lexical and grammatical accuracy
  • understand scientific texts related to health and medicine
Zielpublikum und Voraussetzungen
Students and staff of the ZHAW and other interested people who want to improve their speaking and writing in a small-group learning environment.
Entrance level: B1+ (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
You should score at least 18 points on the following test:

Participants are expected to do work and self-study outside the classroom and take an active role during classes.
