Speaking and writing in English B2/C1 (Online)
Kurzbeschreibung
This online course will take place in a digital learning environment (Moodle and video conference). The learning objectives equal the objectives in a face-to-face course. Focusing on current affairs, as well as topics related to the academic and professional world, this course not only aims to encourage lively discussions, but also to enable participants to write short texts such as summaries, emails or other task-based assignments. The course is also suited for participants who attend or have attended an exam preparation course (e.g. CAE) or other English module in the curriculum and aim to further consolidate their productive skills at a B2/C1 level.
Ziele
Providing the opportunity to improve and consolidate one’s productive skills in English:
  • participate in pair and group discussions
  • practise pronunciation and expand vocabulary
  • draft, develop and improve texts with a focus on structuring, linking, lexical and grammatical accuracy
Zielpublikum und Voraussetzungen
Students and staff of the ZHAW and other interested people who want to improve their speaking and writing in a small-group learning environment.
Entrance level: B2+ (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
You should score at least 20 points on the following test:

Participants are expected to do work and self-study outside the classroom and take an active role during classes.
