Learning Outcomes and Competencies Die Studierenden:
  • erkennen die wichtigsten Strukturen von Zellen und kennen deren Hauptfunktionen
  • kennen die Grundstrukturen des Genoms und die Grundlagen der Genexpression
  • können Strukturen, Eigenschaften und Funktionen von Zellmembranen erklären
  • verstehen die grundlegenden Prinzipien der Energiebereitstellung in Zellen, inklusive des Auf- und Abbaus von Kohlenhydraten
Module Content Allgemein:
  • Lebenskennzeichen, Organisationsebenen und Evolution der Zellen

Cytologie:
  • Bau und Formen der prokaryotischen Zelle (Übersicht)
  • Strukturen der eukaryotischen Zelle (Übersicht)
  • Bedeutung und Funktionen ausgewählter Zellbestandteile wie Zellwand, Glycokalyx, Geisseln und Zelleinschlüssen
  • Funktionen des Genoms (Einführung in die Molekularbiologie)
  • Eigenschaften und Funktionen von Membranen, insbesondere Stofftransport
Stoffwechsel:
  • Zweck des Stoffwechsels
  • Strukturen, Funktionen und Verdauung von Kohlenhydraten
  • Zellulärer Stoffwechsel (Abbau von Kohlenhydraten)
  • Anoxygene und oxygene Photosynthese
