Learning Outcomes and Competencies
In Modellen denken und diese zur qualitativen und quantitativen Beschreibung physikalisch-chemischer Phänomene erarbeiten
Gesetze und Methoden der chemischen Kinetik in Chemie, Biologie und Umwelt übertragen und anwenden
Reaktionskinetische Experimente planen, auswerten und interpretieren
Mit physiko-chemischen Daten korrekt umgehen
Kenntnisse von Einsatz der ICT in der Chemie: Literaturrecherche, Primär-, Sekundär- und Tertiärliteratur, Patente und mathematische Modellierung
Module Content
Temperaturabhängigkeit der Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit (Fortsetzung, einfachste Stossmodelle), Kettenreaktionen, diffusionskontrollierte Reaktionen, Osmose, homogene und heterogene Katalyse.
Kinetik der Enzymkatalyse: Grundlagen und praktische Aspekte, Anfangsgeschwindigkeitsmethode, Derivatisierung, gekoppelte Assays, Enzymtitration, pre-steady state Kinetik (burst), Hemmungskinetik, pH-Abhängigkeit, Mehrsubstratkinetik.
Praxisrelevante Beispiele (Ammoniaksynthese, Atmosphären- und Umweltchemie, Abbaureaktionen, Esterhydrolyse, teils mittels ICT Simulationen.
Ausgewählte weiterführende Themen, z.B. Grundlagen einfacher semiempirischer Methoden, Grundlagen von ab initio Methoden, Grundlagen von LaTex
