Entrance Requirements Fundamentals of Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Bioanalytics
Learning Outcomes and Competencies The work for the minor is conducted in various subject groups focused on research in the areas of protein analysis, cell-based bioanalytics and diagnostics.

The work involves independent literature research, planning, and execution of experimental approaches to a specific issue, with support from lecturers and research associates.

  • Development of bioanalytical methods for characterising biopharmaceuticals
  • Real-time monitoring of protein refolding
  • Quantification of Borrelia using qPCR
  • Quantification of enzyme activities
  • Validation of new enzyme assays
  • Cell analysis using FACS (Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting)
  • Histochemical and immunohistochemical analysis of human tissue
  • Establishment of a disease-skin model
  • Analysis of biomaterials
  • Evaluation of biomarkers in cancer, metastasis and fibrotic diseases
  • Analysis of bioplastics
