Entrance Requirements Students must have accumulated 150 ECTS points from other BSc Biotechnology modules before being able to enrol in this module.
Learning Outcomes and Competencies Through the Pre-Project – Bachelor Thesis module, students gain the ability to solve a scientific (laboratory-based) problem, one which is both current and located within the field, and to present this in the form of a scientific paper and a poster presentation.

Classroom Attendance The module takes place throughout CW08 – CW17 in the Spring Semester (6th semester of study) in individual study groups at the Institute for Chemistry and Biotechnology as part of the Biotechnology degree programme.
Assessment Coursework (project work) 100%: Successful completion of the project report involves presentation of the results and/or the creation of a poster.

Comments The module ‘Pre-Project Bachelor Thesis’ must be successfully completed in order to commence the follow-up module ‘Main Project Bachelor Thesis’.
