Learning Outcomes and Competencies The students, together with a fellow student, are able to
  • plan, implement and write a scientific paper under given conditions and according to scientific guidelines.
  • to work out the current state of knowledge and research on the basis of a literature search and to integrate it appropriately into their work
  • collect, evaluate and interpret relevant data
  • take different perspectives on a subject matter and relate them to established theories
  • write a structured, comprehensible and error-free report on the procedure, results and findings in accordance with scientific guidelines.
Module Content A project consists of
  • a conceptual part, in which the theoretical and methodological foundations for answering the research question are formulated,
  • an empirical part, in which data are systematically collected and analyzed,
  • and the scientific presentation and discussion of the results.
Accordingly, the learning content consists of the implementation of formal guidelines and existing knowledge (scientific and empirical work, and writing) as well as the reflective writing process and independent work planning. Students learn the principles of scientific integrity.
